SHDPS Health Club
Organic Farming • Organic Food • Natural Food • Healthy Living
At SHDPS Health Club, we believe that good health begins with wholesome food, a clean environment, and a balanced lifestyle. Our Organic Farming and Natural Food initiative encourages people to reconnect with nature and choose fresh, minimally processed and responsibly grown foods.
🌱 Organic Farming
Organic farming focuses on cultivating crops using natural and sustainable agricultural practices. The aim is to maintain healthy soil, protect biodiversity and reduce dependence on synthetic agricultural inputs.
Our approach encourages:
-
Natural compost and organic manure
-
Crop rotation and soil-health improvement
-
Bio-fertilizers and environmentally responsible cultivation
-
Natural and integrated pest-management methods
-
Water conservation and efficient irrigation
-
Seasonal and locally suitable crops
-
Protection of beneficial insects and biodiversity
-
Sustainable farming practices for future generations
🥬 Organic & Natural Food
SHDPS Health Club promotes a balanced diet based on fresh and wholesome foods such as:
Fresh Vegetables: leafy greens, tomatoes, carrots, beetroot, gourds, beans and other seasonal vegetables.
Fresh Fruits: bananas, papaya, guava, pomegranate, citrus fruits and locally available seasonal fruits.
Whole Grains & Millets: brown rice, whole wheat, ragi, jowar, bajra and other traditional millets.
Pulses & Legumes: green gram, black gram, chickpeas, lentils and other protein-rich plant foods.
Natural Foods: nuts, seeds, sprouts, herbs, spices and traditionally prepared foods with minimal processing.
🌾 Farm to Plate
Our vision is to encourage a simple Farm → Harvest → Kitchen → Healthy Plate approach.
Where practical, food should be sourced fresh, handled hygienically and prepared with minimal unnecessary processing. Choosing seasonal and locally grown produce can also support farmers and reduce the distance food travels before reaching the consumer.
💚 Why Choose Organic & Natural Food?
Research consistently indicates that organically produced crops tend to have a lower incidence of detectable pesticide residues than conventionally produced crops. However, organic food should not automatically be described as completely pesticide-free, and evidence that it is always nutritionally superior is mixed.
For SHDPS Health Club, the broader goal is therefore to promote:
-
More fruits and vegetables
-
Whole grains and traditional millets
-
Balanced, freshly prepared meals
-
Less highly processed food
-
Responsible food choices
-
Sustainable agriculture
-
Healthy everyday eating habits
